One of the region's leading PR & Marketing agencies, LCM, has undergone a subtle but significant name change. Previously standing for Lizz Clarke Marketing Ltd, the Fareham-based company has become Logical Creative Marketing Ltd.

"It's an important step for us," says Marketing Manager George Roberts. "We've grown well beyond the sole-trader days back in 1989 when Lizz founded the business and it's important that our name portrays what LCM is today. We're not changing the logo, simply the positioning statement below it. Instead of LCM PR & Marketing, it reads LCM Logical Creative Marketing. It's less associated with Lizz personally - and as she does very little of the marketing work these days, it is very appropriate timing."

Lizz, who is also Events Chair at the Institute of Directors Hampshire & Isle of Wight branch, comperes the organisation's highly successful MentorMagic series and commented, "Since MentorMagic started I have compered 8 events. During this time, I've absorbed a lot of the advice given to the growing businesses who present their business issues to the Mentor panel, and it's clear that the MD of a growing company has to work 'on the business' rather than 'in' it. The name change is part of that psychological kick-forward for me."
