Fareham PR & Marketing company LCM, has appointed Emma Downing to it’s growing business in a Team Support role.
Locks Heath-based Emma, who recently turned 18, will work with Account Managers and Executives on existing client work, as well as helping to bring on board, and work directly with, new clients. Emma will also take on an important role in the actual running of the business, as she assists Financial Manager, Annette Moran, with day-to-day responsibilities.
Emma, who gained two A’s in Business and Media Studies and a B in Psycology in her recent A Level qualifications, decided a more practical role would benefit her career in the long term.
She said: “ Everyone at LCM has been very welcoming and I couldn’t have asked to join a more supportive team. A lot of my friends have gone on to university, but for me gaining full-time practical experience is very rewarding. I’m learning a great deal in a busy environment and enjoy the challenges I face on a day-to-day basis. No two days are the same and I am already developing my PR skills, as well as gaining practical knowledge in business management.”
LCM Managing Director Lizz Clarke is delighted to have Emma on board and said: “Emma came to us for some work experience and really impressed us, particularly at the Business South Exhibition earlier this year. Her enthusiasm and passion to learn on the job is contagious and she has fitted in really well. The whole team is delighted to have her on board.”
When she’s not working towards her career ambitions, Emma enjoys socialising, driving - having recently passed her test, and organising events for friends and family.
