The results of the annual ‘Best Companies to work for’ survey were made public last week and Fareham-based Taylor Made Computer Solutions attained the ultimate accolade of three stars denoting ‘extraordinary performance’. Only 48 other companies have attained three stars this year out of a total of 558 companies taking part and Taylor Made is one of the only ones ever to have attained the top rating at the first time of entering.
‘Best Companies to work for’ is an elite national accreditation, which scrutinises workplace engagement and sets a benchmark for other companies. It follows a `Michelin star’ system, with companies awarded one star for first class, two stars for outstanding and three stars for extraordinary performance. With their recent accreditation, Taylor Made join the likes of KPMG, O2, Ernst and Young and the Britannia Building Society as a three star accredited organisation.
The Best Companies survey uses 66 questions to gain a comprehensive view of workplace engagement across eight factors. In total, over 140,000 employees from 558 companies took part in this year’s survey.
As a business focused on delivering superb service consistently, the workforce at Taylor Made is the organisation’s most valuable asset. Investment in employees is therefore vital and this has been shown recently not only by Taylor Made’s latest staff appointments, but also by its involvement in the UK’s national apprenticeship scheme which has seen the firm take on three new young apprentices.
Commenting on the accreditation, Managing Director, Nigel Taylor said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for our workplace to be recognised nationally. Every day clients tell me how good Taylor Made people are and I’d like to thank every team member for making Taylor Made a great place to work. We would like this recognition to help us to continue to attract top quality people to Taylor Made as we continue to grow.”
