LCM demonstrates how non-tecchies can easily improve your Google position

The twenty-five business people attending the LCM breakfast Web seminar this morning were shown how they can master the 'dark arts' of Websites and Website optimisation which up until now have been largely the province of Web technicians.

LCM was introducing its technical partner Pepperio, who are part of he UK's largest content management system (CMS) provider. The team explained in simple terms how search engine optimisation works and showed how, using Pepperio's easy-to-use software, you don't need to be a technical genius to get your Website higher up on Google and other search engines.

"Infact you need to be a good business person or marketer to select the most effective search terms," says LCM's head of digital, George Roberts. "Very often we find companies entrust entrust this key marketing role to IT technicians, but by making it easy for the non-technical person to enter the right search terms in the right places on their Website, we have been staggered by how much more quickly they get results."

As well as this valuable insight, guests were shown what makes a great Website and taught a few fundamentals that should be considered when embarking on a new Website or redeveloping an upgrade.

If you were unable to attend the seminar but would like to know more about taking control of your own Website, or you would like a free copy of LCM's leaflet 'Your guide to being proud of your Website' please contact George Roberts at LCM.

61% of small of small businesses are unhappy with their Website.

This alarming fact emerged from research obtained in March 2007.

If you are feeling similar frustration, whether it be that your content or design is out of date, or that you are simply not in control of your Website then contact George Roberts at LCM, who will be able to explain and show how this can be remedied.
