Merger of two law firms sparks a new & exciting brand for Verisona
Despite some initial scepticism, managers of top Hampshire law firm Verisona are delighted with LCM’s re-branding work and are already reaping the benefits.
A proven but ‘unconventional’ approach
The regional legal heavyweight was formed from the merger of two traditional firms - Dyer Burdett & Co and Gray Purdue late last year.
LCM helped them break with tradition, fashion an eye-catching new identity and advised them throughout the complex transformation to Verisona.
Director, Michael Dyer, remembers he took a bit of convincing about LCM’s trademark unconventional approach:
“LCM's branding identity specialist came to see us and arrived with a flip chart, some coloured pens and a lot of arty stuff. For half an hour we thought he was completely barking but, as the process went on, it became clear we were talking to someone who really understood branding, knew exactly where he was taking us and guided us in the process of getting there! He was very innovative and very impressive.
“We talked to lots of companies but LCM took the realistic view that there was no way they could get us round a table for three days without us doing any of our normal work. They worked around us.” Michael Dyer
An exciting new name with no surnames
Today, the new look firm is delighted with the results and is looking forward to a bright future:
“We are hugely satisfied with what they have done. Within the legal profession most firms are boringly named: you know, Sue Grabbitt and Run, just surnames. What we have done is brand new and has made a considerable impact. I know that we are now being courted by other professionals and clients who wouldn’t have given us the time of day two years ago.
“Now we have got a new landmark office and a brand new image and it has helped us to transform two traditional high street firms into a firm that’s modern, new and exciting.” Michael Dyer
