Thomas Eggar was already well-established in Gatwick, London, Chichester, Newbury and Worthing.
It started with a concept
The faster we moved, the faster the Firm’s investment in Southampton would start to pay off. We quickly met with the marketing team to find something that would differentiate Thomas Eggar from other Southampton law firms.
It didn’t take long. Not only are Thomas Eggar solicitors real winners in law, but they are astonishingly accomplished in extra-curricular skills too.
The ‘Ambitious in Law, Ambitious in Life’ movie campaign was born.
The buzz spread fast
We started the buzz almost immediately with a teaser campaign that lasted over the three months it took to get the office functioning. It culminated in a glittering launch event styled as a movie premiere.
Four top Thomas Eggar ‘movie stars’ featured in the campaign.
Each one appeared on huge poster sites along all travel routes into the city dressed for their roles – an opera singer, a mountain climber, a top horsewoman and a marathon runner. They appeared in strategically-placed press advertisements.
Invitations to the launch ‘movie premiere’ event also featured the four – and these became the most sought-after tickets in town.
It culminated in a ROAR
Every movie has a star-studded premiere and Thomas Eggar’s was no exception. The venue was Southampton’s City Art Gallery, just across the park from the new offices. It was decked with a roped-off VIP red carpet and thronged with the great and the good of the city for several hours until the last guests tore themselves away.
The message hit home
We needed to impress clients and prospective clients. Engender pride in employees. Make referring professionals pick up the phone for a meeting. And create an impact with other Southampton law firms. Thomas Eggar said the feedback was overwhelming. We know they are still the talk of the town because people keep talking about them!
