Launch of start up business reaches over 600,000 industry leaders and investors

Altitude Partners LLP was the brain child of two of the region’s most respected and successful private equity specialists. They identified a gap in the market for a regional private equity fund where local investors could invest in local businesses rather than having to use funds based in London.

“We need to hit the ground running”

Altitude Partners LLP invested a lot of time in late 2009 and early 2010 to make sure they had the correct business model in place and they needed to hit the ground running.

But before LCM embarked on a profile raising campaign we had to ensure there were some fundamentals in place. They had already created a logo and identity but we also needed to ensure there was a presence on-line and there was imagery to support this and other marketing collateral.

Our approach…

At the outset we sat down with Altitude Partners and identified who we would be targeting, what were the key messages that would differentiate Altitude Partners and appeal to their target audience, what information they would want to see, hear or read, and what would be the most effective routes to market.

With these firmly agreed we were able to get to work on the development of the website and the marketing collateral as well as set a timeline in place so that we could undertake a media campaign that would launch the fund at the right time, when everything would be ready.

The results

These can be seen in the gallery above... but despite having a general election to contend with, the regional media campaign on the launch reached 689,000 business leaders across West Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset in a dozen outlets, such as Hampshire Business, Business Magazine, Hampshire Chronicle and the Portsmouth News. The coverage amounted to, from just one press release, was an advertising equivalent value of at least £3,445.

A newly-designed website built on a content management system that would allow Altitude Partners to update content themselves and, during the media campaign would act as a reference point for people who had read the press release and required more information. To view the website click here.

A sales brochure was produced aimed at the individual investors that complemented the website in terms of design and content.
