Key steps to a successful brand

Get set for an enjoyable process that heightens the value of your organisation by raising internal confidence and improving the external perception of your brand.

Visual branding

  1. Branding workshop to develop visual identity

    Over 3 or 4 hours, we facilitate, distil and filter a wealth of your team’s thoughts and feelings around your organisation’s offerings, to encapsulate the essence of your brand. It can be cost-effective to combine the branding workshop with our proposition workshop.

  2. Visual design phase

    Our visual branding team develop the visual interpretation of your organisation. Icons, typefaces, colours, visual balance and words are all given extremely careful thought and consideration. This usually takes 2 to 3 weeks.

  3. Present, discuss and evaluate

    This is usually very exciting for you. We present you with the initial design and listen to your feedback. We make adjustments where appropriate because it’s important that you really believe in it. This might mean combining different elements of the visual brand proposals. It very rarely means going back to the drawing board, so you may be confident in the timescales.

  4. Testing phase

    Most business leaders like to test the visual branding out before hitting the ‘go’ button. This can be fairly informal – for example, involving selected colleagues and clients – or it can be a wider, more formal test. We can help you with this testing so that it yields objective responses and you avoid the dilution of brand that results from ‘design by committee’.

  5. Hitting the ‘go’ button

    We’ll roll out the brand across all the components needed, such as stationery, literature, web site, signage, advertising, promotional items, banner stands, etc.

  6. Staying in control of your visual brand

    We provide you with brand guidelines that help you retain your brand’s strength in the months and years to come.

New brand name option

The need for a new name will be strategic and much of the thinking will come out of the workshop. We go away from the workshop and brainstorm ideas, which are researched for their internet viability and which take into consideration your target audiences. We discuss the names with you and your organisation makes its selection. It is important that you also research any names for potential legal implications. This usually takes 1 to 2 weeks.
