Motor maintenance with a difference
The visionary MD of Segensworth Automobiles, Rhianon Lewis, has built a vehicle maintenance company with a difference. It is one of a minority of garages to have attained the motor industry’s exacting Quality Kitemark, has contracts with some of Britain’s leading companies and handles the maintenance of thousands of private vehicles in Hampshire and the surrounding region.

'Take us to a whole new level'
Having gained such a solid base, Segensworth Automobiles achievements were not reflected in its visual image and Rhianon and the team were unwilling to carry out much active promotion until they were. “We had lots of ideas but we didn’t have the professional expertise to carry them out in house – nor did we have the time,” explains Rhianon. “We wanted to partner with a marketing firm long-term.”

Marketing strategy developed and implemented by a professional team
A number of contacts recommended LCM, in particular Rhianon’s business coach Paul Raisbeck of Action Coach. “I know Lizz Clarke personally and her team has a strong reputation,” he says. Together, Segensworth and LCM developed a marketing plan that kicked off with the creation of a new, smart and professional logo & image, which could be rolled out across company stationery, signage, the Website, brochure and corporate clothing. A combination of regular press releases, direct mail and other profile-raising initiatives is already reaping rewards.
The results
Within a few weeks, revenues up significantly
“We stand for quality,” says Rhianon, “and this is now reflected every time we communicate with our customers and target customers. Within a few weeks of starting work with LCM, we had increased monthly revenues significantly because of a campaign they dreamed up and wrote for us. I was keen to ensure we didn’t have a flash in the pan and LCM’s advice was to start slowly and build up. We have been amazed at the effectiveness of the strategy and at how quickly it is showing results.”
